Circolo Vela Gargnano is the historic and landmark sailing club of Lake Garda.
Circolo Vela Gargnano was founded in the winter of 1950.
Among its presidents it has had such prominent figures in Italian sports as Count Vittorio Bettoni Cazzago, for years manager of the National Sailing Federation, organizer of the 1960 Naples Olympics.
The history of the CVG, which was originally called Circolo Vela e Motore Gargnano, is inextricably linked to the Centomiglia, but over the years it has risen to prominence as a promoter of other prestigious events.
From 2005 to 2007, Circolo Vela Gargnano is present with “+39 Challenge” at the America’s Cup approach circuit in Valencia, and in 2007 it participates in the challenger races in the Louis Vuitton Cup.
Sports and social activities range from organizing courses for very young people and adults to participating in regattas with various youth, Olympic and oceanic teams.
Various C.V.G. hulls have won World, European and Italian championships.
